Can The Bible Really Be Trusted ?

Can the Bible really be trusted?

From a contributor to Archive.org

I know that other links have been posted, but there is much information that is still rarely addressed. It is hard to be comprehensive, no matter which topic is chosen.

The question remains for those who are interested in the START of these questions, WHERE can they find answers ?

HOW CAN THE NEW STUDENT or the NEW Believer, make sense of the material, and the versions that he or she is having to deal with ?

Hopefully the links and answers in THIS post, will provide some serious answers. Whether you read this material in the books or not, you should DOWNLOAD as MUCH as possible, while you can, and while you have access. They day may arrive, when certain kinds of technical glitches would make your search for answers…more…challenging.

Part of the challenge is that if some or even many of the copies or versions of the New Testament are not good, not translated accurately, or not reliable, then which New Testament copies ARE those which are reliable and accurate ?

Which are the versions which are 1) accurate ; 2) used and 3) accepted by the earlier Churches ?

The standard for accurate versions will be the same throughout time, and for all languages:

Accurate copies of the New Testament are the ones used by the churches, which either are the manuscripts of the New Testament that were written in Ancient Koine [common] Greek, or that have been accurately translated from those Greek manuscripts into other languages.

It is not that hard to understand. Today, there are more manuscripts of the New Testament, which have been discovered since the year 1900, than prior to ALL of the centuries before that time, COMBINED. However, what those manuscripts show and demonstrate, is that it is the older translations such as the Geneva Bible and the King James version, that are the most faithful translation. Those translations are the most closely conforming to the text of the Greek manuscripts which date from the time of the Roman empire. (The accurate texts largely reflect the koine greek written in the byzantine type koine used by the early Christians).

As time and archeology move foward, they continue to demonstrate the accuracy of the Older versions and the innacuracy of the Modern versions. Older translations were based on decades of serious study ; and preparation ;, deep knowledge ;of the ancient languages ; and a faithful commitment ; to translate ; accurately and faithfully.

The earlier translators ; (especially those from 1200 through the 1600s) WANTED to produce accurate versions because for them, their salvation depended on this (read the last chapter of Revelation if you do not understand, which is the last page of the New Testament ). Their work was intended to be a personal reflection on their own personal connection ; and relationship ;between themselves and God, through Christ Jesus. With so much depending on accuracy, they took their translation task with great august sincerity ;, and dedication ; to the task.

Modern translators tell a different story. Their commitment is neither to Christianity, nor to God, and certainly not to the audience, those of us who may read and use a modern translation. Most of the translators of today have one primary goal, their own material comfort and the furtherance of their own academic career. Translations today abound, and there is one translation for each new flavor. Almost all of the translations are group projects, often sponsored by publishing companies, and not churches, or church denominations.

Functionally, in the world of translations of the Bible, there is no oversight and no accountability. Most of the translators of the versions of today have far less knowledge of the older languages, than the translators of the earlier versions. Translators today have chosen to base their work on manuscripts rejected by the earlier translators. That is by design and intention ;.

The modern translators have little in common with the earlier authentic Christians or Christianity. In the name of service to Christianity, most of these translators are in fact working against it. The translators, the publishers, and the colleges and universities understand this. Only they hope that this information would not reach the public, lest this should result in lesser sales, and diminished ability to sway people AWAY from historic Christianity.

Modern translators often have gone so far as to reject the very Old and New Testaments that they translate. They do not believe in the inspiration of the Biblical text, and they do not accept its claims to authenticity. What drives most scholars (so-called) today in their translation efforts is vanity (fame), security (paycheck and tenure), and future book sale contracts. Often, the universities cooperate through lucrative publishing agreements. Accuracy is the last claim of modern versions, and most translators are not only NOT Christians, many translators are openly hostile to the Old and New Testaments, and to those who want to follow them. This applies also to those who believe in the sincerity and accuracy of the words of Jesus Christ. Yet their false recent translations are still printed, and the majority of pastors are either willfully ingorant, or voluntarily complicit ; in misleading their own congregations away from truth, accuracy and clarity.

This happens especially in the larger and higher denominations, who have only too joyously departed from their own faith They are happy to lure congregations to sleep and towards a willful neglect of the Eternal consequences, and happy for the Pastor’s decisions to lead the congregations into falsehoods ; and false doctrines. The result is that it is hard, if not impossible for most people who attend churches, to truly know and understand ; what it means to have Eternal Life, and to learn HOW this may be obtained. Don’t kid yourself, many pastors today don’t give a damn about your eternal soul. Let it sink in. Understand the implications of what this can mean for you.

And if you are in the congregation, and you are among the psychologically paralyzed, if you are among the hopelessly confused, if you are one of those who can’t figure out why your prayers don’t travel farther than the ceiling, then so much the better !, many pastors would tell you (if they were honest). After all, this means that you are one more who does NOT know which questions to ask ;, one more who does not have the courage to find out, and one more sheep who will simply STAY in the church pew, and keep absorbing more confusion, while you do nothing to prevent your own slide into despair. In real terms, this will translate into one MORE conversation that a pastor can avoid ;, and one more afternoon, for a great game of golf.

In case though you happen to seek ACTUAL truth ; and to know the real word of God, you will probably do yourself the greatest favor of your life, if you start to read and memorize from the OLD translations, such as the Geneva Bible or the King James Version of 1611. While you can argue that other options may exist (and they do), the question remains: just how much of your Eternal destiny and destination, are you willing to gamble on this ? So if you are happy, then sorry to have interfered with your frog-slowly-simmering-in-the-hot-water experience.

There are those who just want to feel good. They are not seeking truth, and they are not interested in God or in knowing Him. They just want to feel good, and use religion to get them there. They have no understanding of the state of their soul, nor do they really care. The idea that this time period in which you exist, is an opportunity for you to prepare for an afterlife where you will actually exist forever, somehere, is not something that really occured. Those who do not take God seriously should not be surprised that God does not take them seriously. A relationship is a two-way street.

But if you decide that you want to wake up and do something in addition to earnest prayer to God, the first step for you Might be to read an actual New Testament which was translated by those who were the faithful, instead of a modern version, translated by the politically connected.

If these facts are true, (and they are), would you prefer to not be told, and instead become spiritually deceived ? Would you not have a better chance of accessing the potential of your reconciliation with God, if you knew how the books that he had entrusted to humans, had been mishandled, thanks to false leaders ? Would you not wish that someone was willing to share, so that you would be able to find accurate versions of the Old and New Testament, so that you could start connecting to God, as He intended it ? The truth is out there, for those who have the courage and willingness to seek.

————

Today, there are around 25,000 ancient copies and fragments of the New Testament, that have been found and recovered, that were written in the ancient Koine Greek spoken at the time of Christ, in the days of the first Global Roman Empire. The New Testament is the most copied book in the history of the world.

Westcott and Hort lived in the 1800s, were given positions as chaplains to the official Royal family of the British Empire, and were corrupt Anglican academics who gave the anglican church a new false collation (assemblage) of the Greek Text, and then passed their new False translation to the rest of the church, as IF their version were an improvement. It was not. It was a corruption ; but they were able to convince many ; including Tregelles (a partner of Nestle) and the Bible societies to begin to use their Nestle-Westcott-Hort false version of the greek New Testament, to be used for translation of the Bible into other languages. Eventually, most denominations allowed themselves to be misled and jumped on board, from the Lutherans to the Southern Baptists.

The official change with the American Bible Society ; occured in 1904, while it was directed by Daniel Gilman ; (nwo );,

The BFBS, the British and Foreign Bible Society ;, was accepted to start using the false greek collated text of Nestle in 1904, with changeovers in other foreign language versions accelerating after the year 1910. The British and Foreign Bible society had further confirmed its intention to abandon the historic Ancient Greek received text of the New Testament, when it published a false New Testament – under the imprimatur of the BFBS – using the Westcott-Hort false greek text as a template, in 1905.

This is simply a matter of history. These events did not happen overnight. There are many records of the Bibles societies
writting to each other ;, and about each other ; in order to try to bring the facts and details ; to the attention
of the public ;. And there were authors (such as Ebenezer Henderson, whose work is excellent) who did act with courage ; and disclosed – as in the case of French versions – some of the false work ; accomplished by those within the Bible societies. The fact is that most translations today, if they are modern, are innacurate and lacking in spiritual strength, and the foreign translations ; starting in the 1800s need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

People want to simply believe that the Bible societies conducted their translation with integrity and faithfullness both to Christianity and to Jesus Christ. We all would wish to believe this, but facts simply have not and do not support that conclusion ;. This is placing faith in men, rather than faith in God. And most of those within academia and the Bible societies have been very seduced by the lifestyle of the rich professor. Most of them have “rich professor syndrome”. While they would mock the notion that they are rich, most of them still draw salaries, tenure and benefits today that are available only to the top 1% of the world. They are not rich in their own eyes, but they have many riches in the eyes of the global public.

And we should not be surprised. If the Word of God does help people, does encourage people, does help provide answers and connection to God through accurate translations, it should not be a surprise that certain forces opposed to mankind being connected to the Lord God Creator would oppose that.

It is sad to say that the manuscripts used by Westcott and Hort were not accurate, to repeat, the manuscripts used were NOT accurate, first in that they are wilful departures from the historic Greek manuscripts used by the christian churches for 2000 years, or technically until 1882.

That’s right, all the Christians UNTIL that time followed a DIFFERENT Greek Text, and had a different content, the historic older Bibles based on the historic Greek text ;such as the accurate King James version, or the Geneva Bible, the Bible de Geneve [ Francais ; ] (here) ; or [ here ];, or the Olivetan ( French ;), or Luther’s Bible (German). The 27 books used originally are the same 27 books of the New Testament that exist and are used today. But the modern versions have changed the internal content of those books. [Tischendorf, an apostate bible-changer and an anti-reformation, anti-Luther academic himself said that he had made more than 3000 changes in his later editions. And Yes, those changes DO matter and they DO affect doctrine and content].

However – to continue – the version produced by Westcott and Hort is specifically innacurate in – at least – 2 respects:

a) the sources from which they chose to translate, and

b) the corrupt and innacurate translation which they deliberately produced

The Manuscripts that Westcott and Hort translated from are themselves innacurate and contradictory ;.Those manuscripts come primarily from 2 sources: Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus. Both of these are claimed to be from the 50 falsfied manuscripts which the neo-pagan Emperor Constantine commissed Eusebius to make for him. [those copies were deliberately corrupted manuscripts by Eusebius and other followers of Arius, who denied the deity of Jesus. Constantine himself worshiped sol invictus and the vision of the sign that Constantine claimed to have seen in a vision was NOT a cross, but was actually an egyptian Ankh, as Eusebius himself makes very clear in the Greek-language history of Constantine written by Eusebius.

Despite these facts, Vaticanus and Sinaiticus were used by Westcott and Hort. These 2 manuscripts contradict the 99% of the other Koine Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Vaticanus and Sinaiticus are false copies of the New Testament, though they do agree with Arius and with Origen (Origen was later excommunicated for false doctrine by the Church Councils, for those who care). However, codex Vaticanus and codex Sinaiticus also contradict EACH OTHER in more than 2000 places.

It remains an impossible task for the modern reader, reading now in a translated language [such as English] to know which section of which verses in English are accurate, and which sections are NOT accurate, even if based only on Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. But if you were to study both Vaticanus and Sinaiticus side-by-side and compare the results, then you could read and know and confirm the contradictions (as as this is, since they are both false manuscripts).

A line by line comparison between Vaticanus and Sinaiticus has actually been done and this work ( done by Professor Hoskier [well trained while at the University of Michigan] is available online for Free. ( Hoskier Pt 1 (a)) ; that is ( Hoskier Pt 2 (b)) ; in ( Hoskier Pt 3 (c)) ;. ( Hoskier Pt 4) ; Most modern versions of the New Testament (in other languages yes, but especially in English) are based on the work and manuscripts collated (assembled) by Westcott and Hort. The proof of this is that in almost all modern versions of the Bible, they state in the preface or introduction that their text in ENGLISH is based upon the koine Greek text of NESTLE-ALAND. The,
Nestle-Aland text in greek IS the text of Westcott and Hort ;
and the Nestle (and Nestle-Aland) versions of this greek text still state, usually in the opening footnote at the bottom of page 1, that this supposed NEW Nestle (or Nestle-Aland) Greek text is based on Westcott and Hort, and / or the text of Tischendorf (which is Codex Sinaiticus).

Sorry if this gets too far in the weeds for those who are just beginners. Here may be an easier way:

1.) Codex Vaticanus ; + Codex Sinaiticus ; = the greek false textual base for Westcott and Hort

2.) ( Westcott + Hort ) + Codex Sinaiticus [Tischendorf 8th edition] = the Greek text of Nestle-Aland

3.) Nestle’s false Greek text = the false Nestle-Aland greek text = used as the basis for almost all Modern versions
of the New Testament

The errors, mistranslations and falsehoods of Westcott and Hort have been refuted in many works including Here ;, and Here – Mauro ; and here – Burgon ;.

We should not be surprised that many have happened to find self-satisfaction in the myriad of false versions of the Old and New Testaments. After all, if you look into the details, many who publish the Bible are themselves NOT followers of Jesus Christ ;, and they make NO claim to be so. They make no claim to NOT lead you astray. Their claim is that they will be those who MARKET new versions to you. Their priority is SALES ; , or ( Direct PDF re 666) ; not Biblical accuracy. The Bible is the number one bestselling book of all time. It was true 50 years ago, and it is just as true today. The only reason it is not on the New York list of booksales every week, is that if it were, it would always be at number one. Simply look up the number of the top selling books, and then look at Bible sales. By understanding the truth hidden in plain sight, you can now understand, why publishers even of false versions, stand to make $ millions and $ millions in sales, and the more $ sales with each new $ false version offered.

In many cases, the publishers don’t even change the name of the editions, prefering instead that most will be misled by the false label. They hope that the public will NOT realize that the content between the covers has been entirely changed, and is now very different from what a Christian would have read in their Bible 200 years ago.

Such is the case with the Reina Valera 1960 (spanish), and the NEW King James Versions. The 1960 Reina-Valera rejects the earlier accurate Greek manuscripts from which the Spanish translation of Reina and Valera was made, using instead the falsified Nestle-Aland, which is based on Westcott and Hort. The NEW King James Version (NKJV) is NOT the same content, as the historic 1611 King James Version, having used the same tactic. The New King James version is based on the false collation of Hermann Von Soden (1911) [transmitted via the misnamed greek text of Hodges & Farstad]. The Old Testament text of the New King James version (NKJV) is based on the false Hebrew Text (via UBS) translated by Apostate-occultist ; Kittel.

This information – about which text in Hebrew or Greek was used to translate for the particular version, in this case the NKJV – is right in the preface or the introduction of the NKJV. (Kittel himself rejected Christianity, the claims of Jesus Christ, and the inspiration of the Old Testament, even though he translated it. His academic career benefited, but the spiritual fallout of his text has been disastrous and confusing, usually most to those who study it, not realizing its false content). The Translator – in this case, Rudolph Kittel, was accurate and disclosing of his apostasy ; (at least in his books), of his rejection of the New and Old Testament. He wrote books where he stated his falsehoods. (Unfortunately for him, it was simply that HE did not believe in what he mis-translated. But that did not change the fact or the truth of the information contained in the accurate versions of the Old and New Testaments…).

A little more knowledge ;, a little more searching ;, a little more dedication to truth ;, and to God ;
and to historic accuracy ; all those factors ; might have helped him understand the God he claimed would not be found in his own mistranslation.

However, regarding Kittel’s views about his own attacks on the biblical text, this information was available to those who searched independently for themselves, in the works of Kittel. It was just that this information about him was …conveniently… omitted both by the Publishers, and by the apostate false Bible societies ;.

They are technically Bible societies… in that they publish Bibles, only not accurate ones anytime they can help it. The modern NIV, TEV, NLT ; or the TEV, CEV, RV, ; or any NRSV, NASB, etc versions ; of the Bible all follow the false manuscripts.

Kittel was a false teacher, who rejected the Bible, and who also despised those who were Hebrews. His son Gerhard Kittel continued in the footsteps of his father, serving as theologian directly under the Fuhrer and as an advisor. After WWII, he was tried for war crimes. However, despite this, the work of Gerhard Kittel [Theologisches Worterbuch zum Neuen Testament ] is still selling well, whitewashed, translated into English, (Theological Dictionary of the New Testament – Multi Volume) and published by Zondervan. Infiltration into Christian circles of leadership is nothing new. But the Kittels certainly raised this to a new level.

So that others can confirm this is accurate, here are some of the sources, on the conduct of Kittel before and during WW II:

Theologians under Hitler – Kittel, Paul Althaus, and Emanuel Hirsch ;

Betrayal – German Churches and the Holocaust ;

Another book, —> IBM and the Holocaust, fills in the details of what corporations (such as the German Bible Society) had to do, in order to operate in Germany during WWII. (The Full title is: IBM and the Holocaust : the strategic alliance between Nazi Germany and America’s most powerful corporation ; Edwin Black New York – Crown Publishers).

The sad and destructive work of Gerhard Kittel, as well as his high party Nazi affiliations, even during the writing of the german version Theologisches Worterbuch zum Neuen Testament (muti volume also – the English is patterned after the German edition), is confirmed and documented also in the University Paper —> The Theological Faculty of the University of Jena during the Third Reich, which is available [ Here – PDF ];

WHY anyone would wish to have or use any version of the Old Testament, translated or worked on by the Kittel family defies logic, especially as the translation is affected by the spiritual understanding (or lack thereof) of the translator. They rejected the claims of the Old and New Testament, and their own behavior towards those who were Hebrew was abominable, and a STRONG and serious violation of multitudes of commandments and instructions about how to treat those who are Hebrew.

Yet anytime you are reading from an Old Testament in any Modern Version in English (with the exception of the translation work of Jay Green), you are reading an English Old Testament, translated specifically from the work of Kittel. Look at the beginning of your modern version. Read the introduction for where it will state what the SOURCE of the Old Testament translation was, for your version. In all cases, it will be the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. THAT is the Old Testament translated (falsely) and based on false Hebrew texts by Kittel !!!

And That Old Testament translated by occultist unbelievers (Kittel Sr and Jr) has a spiritual impact on those who are reading it. Why anyone would believe that this would not cause great spiritual inteference in their own life, testifies to the great lack of knowledge about how God operates. Those who wish to know Him must know Him in TRUTH. Yet Kittels work are based on falsehoods, fictions, not to mention the errant false Old Testament manuscripts of ben Asher, dated to around 1000 years after Christ. Thankfully, the Old Testaments of the Geneva Bible, or the Bibles of Calvin, Luther or Beza do not suffer from having been mistranslated by those working for the Third reich.

This does not mean that the Old or New Testament should not be used. But it does mean that those who are seeking a genuine relationship to God, without interference from the translations and innacurate work, need to seek, find and use translations that are accurate, and accomplished by translators who actually have a connection to the God whose work they are translating.

It would seem that it is time to get rid of false translations, and instead use translations that are accurate and reliable.

The spiritual issue of what happens to you, and where your soul will be in Eternity, or FOR Eternity, is NOT something that Textual Critics want to face or discuss. Conveniently, that same attitude of disregard is found among many professors who teach on religion. Particularly those who teach concerning Christianity, seem somehow only to be hired, as long as they despise the text, or despise those who follow try to follow the words of Jesus, or those who take those words literally. So their problem, honestly, is that they do not like followers of Jesus ; , especially those who put into effect, the effects of the Words of Jesus to love others. The Kittels seemed to have those same attitudes also.

It would be a mistake to expect those anti-Jesus professors of religion to actually represent the very worldview and philosophy of Christianity, that they are so revolted and revulsed by. Consequently, almost no one will be led to truth, nor historical nor biblical accuracy, by trying to learn truth from those official Christ-bashing academics ; who enjoy their leisure, their tenure, and their paycheck, on the backs of students who are amassing a life of future debt with little hope of repayment (known as economic slavery).

Those conclusions are not popular (except with the students), but they are accurate. Those who are seeking truth and accurate manuscripts of the Old and New Testament, must find the accurate copies, which is those printed BEFORE they have been tampered with. Since around the year 1800, there are 4 standard LEVELS of tampering with the text of the Bible, which are the major stages of false Biblical texts. They are not hard to understand, ONCE the information is known:

1. The changes ; to the Biblical texts introduced by the Roman church ;

These are the changes that were instituted at the Council of Trent. The Vatican could not reply ; to their critics ;, therefore instead of admitting problems, they introduced around 14 additional books into the Bible, {several of which actually have historical errors in them} stuck the new false books between the Old and New Testament, and then passed edicts simply declaring the new books to be as DIVINE as the other original genuine 66 books. These additional books were called Apocrypha. The very word apocrypha means counterfeit [look it up], and those apocryphal books had been rejected within the Roman Church ; as being divine. Jerome the original translator of the Vulgate, made changes to his own Latin text (from the earlier Vetus Itala, the original Latin translation that Jerome was attempting to replace). accurate Latin NT here ;.

But Jerome in the preface to each book of the apocrypha which he translated into Latin, stated that the apocryphal books were NOT inspired. By the time of the Vatican Council of Trent (in the 1500s), which is the same council that declared the apocryphal books to be Holy and Devine, the preface of Jerome, where he had stated those books to NOT be devine, was dropped from subsequent Vatican printings. The books of the Apocrypha were included in Vatican bibles starting in the 1500s, and the Inquisition Inquisition ; continued its earlier methods ; of coercion to force people ; to falsely declare ; their belief in those false books, under penalty of death for disagreement.

Of course, being forced to admit a falsehood does not make it true. (true and authentic Christian conversion can NEVER be by force. God recognizes the condition of the heart and the sincere will, and not the exterior conformity brought about by coercion, duress, or other illegitimate means. God does not want people to come to Him except of their own choice to do so voluntarily. As long as humans are living, the choice of how they respond to God is up to each individual ).

Though the Vatican has sometimes expressed regret about the Inquisition, it has never admitted ; it was theologically wrong. It has also not repaid the fortunes, property and wealth amassed as a result of the infamy, either.

(( And let us remember the difference between the evil deeds ; of the Inquisition, and individual catholics (roman Catholics) today, many of whom know almost nothing of the long history of abuse of human rights ; globally, often run out of the Vatican by wicked priests, and evil bureaucrats. The idea that the evil and abuses of children, around the world, is the result of wrong theology and also simply a continuation of the earlier abuses of families by the Roman Catholic authorities through the inquisition, has still not permeated many of the roman catholic laymen, who are still ignorant or in denial, unaware of the need to make a difference betweeen God and the Bible on one hand, and the bureaucrats and the hierarchy that runs the Vatican globally, and often shields those who harm others ;. There seems to be as much denial in some catholic parishes about abuse, as there is denial in mainstream republican circles about the abuses fostered and protected by the Bush dynasty ;, and their continuous presidential ambitions. ))

2. The changes to the Biblical texts that started around the time of the French Revolution (1793).

3. The changes to the Biblical texts that started in the early 1800. This is usually based on the changes of Griesbach.
[However, it is true that Griesbach had been coached and mentored by critics Semler and Wettstein , and these were illuminists who had determined to conduct their wars on religion, from within the seminaries and universities operating underground. They were the initiators and progenitors of the movement known today as Textual Criticism ]. (the works Fire in the Minds of Men and the work on underground illuminism within academia by Antelman (2 Vol) explains much about the underground Textual Criticism movement over the last 300 years, which was designed to replace the true Historic ; Old and New Testaments, with modern translations that would be innacurate.

4. The changes to the Biblical texts that started in the later 1800s. These are the changes introduced by Westcott and Hort.

Accurate copies in English of the Biblical Text:

1. Geneva Bible ;

2. King James Version (1611) ;

3. Versions by Calvin ;, Beza and Luther, Olivetan, etc

Calvin ;

Beza ;

Luther ;

4. modernized though Accurate version of translator Jay Green, available in printed and online.

Those who wish to have several choices to study from would do well to obtain all these version, and they can be often obtained online.

Keep in mind that this list does NOT signify that earlier versions are not accurate. That is not the case. There are other versions and earlier versions of the Old and New Testament that ARE accurate. However, these listed above are simply PRINTED copies of the Biblical text that are accurate and that have been translated from accurate Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. (And if you have questions about the meanings of words, there is even a standard dictionary to look up the words – Webster – Part 1 ;. Webster – Part 2 ;).

What you do with the information is up to you. It is up to each of us to realize that we are EACH responsible for our own spiritual understanding, our own spiritual decisions, and all the consequences of those decisions. A decision to NOT seek truth, or to not seek at all, are simply examples of decisions also, only decisions in the wrong direction. God charges each human with the reponsibility to decide their own spiritual path, and the consequences of that belong to each of us, individually. Denying this reality will not make it any less so, though God allows those who want themselves to be god to take this on, with the consequences also.

However we each still have the right of our own choice, as long as we are living. We can change our minds, and make new decisions. The position of the New Testament is that there are forces that seek to distract and prevent you from arriving at actual spiritual truth. The usual antidote (remedy or answer) to this is simply to read the New Testament (starting for example, with the Gospel of John), and then reading the rest of the books of the New Testament. What you read FOR YOURSELF is usually what will have the best impact on you. Way too many people have allowed themselves to be made afraid ;
to even open the pages of the New Testament (especially often those in Europe ;, who are trained ; from childhood by the system ;, to recoil and fear anything that has the word Religion or God in it). The content though, of the New Testament, is interesting and usually encouraging also. In this day and age, choices that help and encourage would seem to be worthwhile.

On the other hand ;, maybe it does not matter what has been prepared for you ; maybe it does not matter what is coming soon ; . Even many of the details the details ; are known.

And if you happen to be among those ; who are emergent ;, or those who are the neo- charismatics ;, headed toward ; the vatican, that may be best for everyone, at least until the afterlife. But are you really sure ?

After all, with such a record in human rights, what could go wrong ; with the Vatican leading ; the way ?

What you decide to learn, and how you orient your spiritual journey toward God is up to you, obviously. As others have pointed out, it is hardly original to suggest that on this day, your eyes landed here, you had the chance to learn more, and heaven knows those who were given more chances, to learn and bring their lives into the wise path.

Critical Edition by Ginsburg – Vol 02 ;

For those interested in the deeper background of the Old Testament scripture [ keep in mind that 40% to 60% of the New Testament is the Old Testament requoted]. Everything done in the New Testament is still being done in relation to the Old Testament. ( Note: Those who know almost nothing about the Old Testament section of the Bible would do well to start reading and re-reading both in the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs).

— concerning the Apocrypha — (see also the section under versions, since the issue of versions [ which version of the OT – NT to use] also involves the issue of which books belong in the Bible [called Canonization]. Many books on versions therefore also deal with the issue of which books belong in the Bible, or which ones do not ).

The issues of the printing of the Apocrypha has been somewhat addressed in the following works:

For those interested in the issues concerning the Apocrypha (declared even by Jerome to not be part of scripture), the following books may give you some information and historic information:

The work of Scofield . and Darby . is beyond this posting. But their work . is sometimes presented as controversial beause of their success. and their [ orthodoxy].. History of the Karaite [non-talmudic orthodox ] Jews (1870)

As the Karaites affirm: Nothing with them is authoritative which is not Divine. God only is to them the fountain of authority. They profess a willingness to submit to Him, and to submit at any cost. This is the normal principle of Karaism. They state that they pay unbounded reverence to the Written Law of God, contained in the Old Testament. They utterly reject what is called the Oral Law, and is now contained in the Talmud. This is an interesting contrast to what passes for traditional Orthodox Judaism, which is very different from simply following the Old testament. This is not what orthodox Judaism is these days.

Today it has degenerated mostly into occult talmudic Judaism with the constant study of the Talmudic occultism [ which seems to have a rather close resemblance to much material found in The Two Babylons by Hislop] . In the same way that those in Islam should compare the characteristics of Allah with those of Almighty God, those who are Othodox talmudic occultic Rabbis should be willing to compare their worship of their “First Cause” with the God of the Old Testament.

[ History of the Karaite Jews (1870)].

[ The life and times of Jesus the Messiah (1886) 02) ].

There are many resources. here. If you are deceived or led astray, it is only your fault and you are the one to blame. We are each responsiblefor. our own spiritual path, and the information and learning we chose to epose ourselves to, or deny or ignore or postpone. Like everything else, your spiritual connection and walk with God is what You make of it. The Bible is filled with information. [ not disclosed or talked about in Churches]..You have to read the New Testament for yourself. [ the Gospel of John is a good place to start, and remember to use a good, histori and accurate version. It is not what you “theoretically” want to do, or wish to do, that counts. If you are deceived spiritually, what difference will it make, that you “were going to study” or you were “ going to learn” ? Will you be… any less deceived, because you were going to [in the future] actually invest the time in yourself to learn ???

Take the time and learn n-o-w, while you can.

Do you remember the words of scripture :

II Timothy 2: 15 Study [ STUDY !!! ] to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly [RIGHTLY] dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

II Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Its what you actually [ ACTUALLY !!! ] do, what you actually[ ACTUALLY !!! ] study. Stop waiting for others to help you, and start helping yourself. The day will soon come when none of this may be around, and then all you will have is what you know, in your head, in your own mind.

Pray for yourself that you will wake up from your coma, that you would have a love of God, a love of His true and authentic Word (Bible), a deep desire to study the Word, and that God would show you how to have the spiritual and personal inner strength for these times. Pray that you would not waste your time, but that you would value and do what God wants you to do and value., and that HE would help you find the answers you are looking for.

What people MUST believe about God, in order to find Him and why Faith in God is neccessary ——- Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

To restate the obvious:
YOU = “ he that cometh to God “
MUST BELIEVE:
1) that he is, [ That God exists] , and
2) that he is a rewarder of them that diligently [ DILIGENTLY !!! ] seek him.

Luke 21: 8
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

II Thess 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness … because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

( what did they receive not ? This means that there is something that certain ones chose not to receive. What is that ?? )

—-

Example: what they often don’t talk about in church:

Titus 2: 1
2:1
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7 In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10 Not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
